Be sure you ask the bank for a copy of a recent appraisal and an inspection report. You may have to pay for one of these reports but you may find that it is well worth it in the end when you buy a home for a fraction of the market value. There are plenty of houses to choose from and there is thousands of dollars to be saved. Why get a loan for such a large amount when you don't have to?
